A Libertarian Demonstrates the Core of Libertarianism

As a philosopher, I am aware of Libertarianism’s belief system, and having written about political philosophy online for years I am familiar with how Libertarians react to other beliefs. Evangelists of the Libertarian Gospel easily take umbrage at discussion about freedom that doesn’t adhere to Libertarian doctrine and are quick to admonish the heathen unbelievers.

So, it was no surprise that a Libertarian evangelist came knocking on my “door” to admonish me for my “heretical” explanation of the meaning of freedom. Also not surprising was what the evangelist had to say. Despite their claims of individuality, Libertarians all sing from the same hymn sheet. This is the tract the evangelist left with me, which I will use as a teaching tool to explain several of the fallacies of Libertarian ideology. I ask permission to treat the Libertarian as a hostile witness, which he clearly is.

E’s (E for Evangelist) first statement sets up the dynamic: we need to hear the Libertarian gospel, because 98% agreement is not enough, we must have 100% agreement with Libertarianism.
