Ah, that's why focusing on events as defining generations is so illuminating. Individuals will respond differently from their free will decisions, but they remain connected by the events to which they respond. Like you say, demographic differences also have a factor, but again, different demographics experiencing the same events. It is quite complex and deeper we dive into it the more complex it gets, but those are the explorations and discussions worth having.
