As for good without evil: the best description of evil was from Plotinus, who said that evil is simply the absence of good like darkness is simply the absence of light. Why that’s important is that it understands that evil is not a force in and of itself. In that sense, one could place the concept of evil as God being good and evil as being a departure from God. I forget names, but I have seen some Christian theologians have similar thoughts.
