End of May and Beginning of My Sabbatical

One must rest.

Well, I completed my self-inflicted task of publishing a Medium article a day in May. Plus, I completed in May all of my end-of-academic-year tasks. It was a month of unremitting effort and mental vigor after a very long time of such uninterrupted productivity.

Now, I need to rest.

To be honest, I still haven’t recovered from the two-year project of writing my philosophy textbook. All the while, I was working my full-time job as a philosophy professor, and other work. So, I’m pretty burned out right now.

My self-chosen task for June is a complete disconnect from all labor. No writing, no philosophizing, no consulting projects, no work of any kind. That includes, and especially requires, staying off the computer. I will be traveling and resting. It will be my personal sabbatical.

There will be no new articles in June. No replies to messages either. Apologies if that inconveniences or disappoints anyone, but I need to rest and recuperate. In July, I will be back, rested and ready to insert more philosophy into life.

Many thanks to everyone who has read, clapped, and commented on my articles. Also thanks to my 400 new followers who joined in May!

Since Medium articles disappear in the queue pretty quickly, please refer to my Lists for articles you may have missed.

Enjoy your June! I know I will.
