People know me as a philosophy professor, which is my day job, but for even longer, I have been a radio DJ. Musical ideas, like philosophical ideas, broaden the mind and soul. I am always sharing philosophical ideas, now I want to share some musical ideas that were important to me.

Music changes lives. What led me to start my radio DJ career and inspired me to eventually create my Internet radio station was a series of musical events that left a strong and profound mark on me. In this article, I look back at four music albums that revolutionized my musical palate, bringing me out of a sleepy mainstream music existence. Hopefully, it will inspire people to explore some great music. Normal is boring, after all.

Passion — Sources
