Growing up, my mom was afraid that I would have problems because her father was an alcoholic. Fortunately, I did not inherit any such physical propensity, like I didn't inherit that slight heart murmur by brother unfortunately inherited.

I have found that with everything, I need to listen to my body. People will say "eat this, it will do this for you," and I try it and it doesn't help me as it helps others. As I mention in my article, I have no desire to get drunk, and alcohol does help me, as it helps many other people, as an aid to digestion. For me, it is part of a balanced diet. All things in moderation and self-awareness. 😄
