Dressed for battle? Amazing how many ads for violent video games have sexist imagery, but that subject belongs in another article

I don’t play video games. Mostly because I don’t know of any ones that interest me, and I’m busy working.

I know not all video games, but it seems that almost all video games are about carnage and are directed at 13-year-old boys and older males who haven’t emotionally advanced beyond that. There are first-person shooter games (FPS), Dungeons & Dragons derivatives, post-apocalyptic survival games (often involving zombies), tower defense games, pretend-you’re-a-soldier games, anime-inspired fighting games, and organized crime role-playing games. I’m sure I’ve left out a few sub-genres. They share a similar theme of see something, shoot at it.

What are the most popular video games? Once you get past Minecraft and Roblox on any list it’s all killing cartoon characters. Listed in no exact rank.

Fortnite — shoot and kill other cartoon people

Call of Duty — shoot and kill other cartoon people

Counter-Strike — shoot and kill other cartoon people

League of Legends — shoot and kill cartoon monsters

Grand Theft Auto — beat up and maybe also shoot and kill other cartoon people
