Thank you for your detailed comments and the chance to converse on this topic. Yes, there IS more to the story, that's why I wrote this article, to encourage serious investigation into the UFO phenomena.

With respect, no, the people you named have not given any evidence that there is an extraterrestrial presence on Earth. Nor is it fair to say that they have said that aliens are behind the phenomena. As for the government denials, I wrote about what is behind that behavior at some length in my article. I invite you to read what I wrote because I did not say I trust that the government has been honest. I say quite the opposite. I also, never took the ET hypothesis off the table. I said it should not be assumed as proven because it isn't. Again, I invite you to read what I wrote because it seems you are attributing to me positions I never took.

By intelligent conversation about UFO phenomena, I mean conversation that is open to all possibilities. Deciding that extraterrestrials are behind it is being closed minded. Demanding that others buy into unsubstantiated conspiracy theories as a prerequisite for further discussion is even worse than being closed-minded.

I am not a skeptic. I want to see actual evidence and eagerly accept what can be demonstrated. I am the opposite of closed-minded bigot Tyson.
