I agree that science is not in itself endorsing patriarchy, but that human scientists are blindly applying patriarchal attitudes to their perceptions and activities. I think scientism is the ideological expression of science being conducted in a patriarchal manner. So, yes, there is merit in differentiating the values and practices of science and scientism. Any person can choose — perhaps unwittingly — to follow one or the other path.
