I did think about that because I do attach a great value to the Internet, and I am folding it into the idea of the Digitized Generation. My thinking, FWIW, is that the growth of the Internet was gradual over a period of a decade or more. I first started using in in 1994, which was early, and many people didn’t have it as part of their lives until 2004 or 2007. I remember building a Web site for a company in 1999, and the company was struggling with the problem that most people weren’t used to using the Internet. My take, which I grant is debatable, is that the Internet was a gradual emergence that had huge effects but didn’t define a generation as such — its effects spanned generations.
