I do listen to Black people's lived experience. I do not pretend to understand their full experiences in this racist culture, nor do I presume to speak for them. What I hear is that there are hierarchies within the Black community, such as colorism, and classism, but that these divisions mirror universal social experiences. People everywhere seek to manufacture a sense of superiority over others by demeaning others, including others within their own social group or subculture. That's not about race. There is a Black philosopher who talked about this phenomenon within Black culture, but I am not recalling the name, sorry.
