I don't know if Burke read the Federalist papers. Would be interesting to know what he would have thought of their arguments.

Thank you for adding that some Federalists were open to an American monarchy. I had forgotten and should have included that.

Since you are an expert on Paine, how would you describe his political theory in comparison to the Federalists? I would like to add some thoughts on that to what I am writing.
