I enjoyed this, thank you. A simple, direct paper bringing up a topic few people think about.

When I teach about Kant's philosophy in my Intro courses, I make a point about two of his Categories of Understanding: Unity and Plurality. I tell my students that if your mind can't move from unity to plurality, from 1 to 2, you can't do any other thinking. You illustrate that point very well in this article.
