I mentioned in my article that stoicism has some value and that some people can gain benefit from it. I am happy to hear that drawing on its ideas helped you. But with respect, your subjective experience, though very valuable, does not alter the historical and contemporary facts about stoic philosophy, including what it teaches. What you describe as the benefits that drawing on stoicism gave you are its positive elements, the same elements that can be found in all spiritual traditions. Again, that doesn’t negate stoicism’s dark side.
