I offered my own article in response to Carlos and appreciate reading yours. Here is my reply to you
I don't think hubris is the right characterization in this situation. Is it hubris to not run a stop light? Is it hubris to say people who do run stop lights are endangering others? I grant that being on the right side of a moral issue doesn't award you the opportunity to act unjustly toward those on the wring side of a moral issue. However, if we make no value distinctions between those who are moral and those who are not, then morality has no value. On listening to the outcast, that is a principle of which I could not be more in favor. However, the arguments of the anti-vaxxers have been heard and dealt with appropriately, and I distinguish between them and those who have personal reasons to not receive the vaccine.
