I respect your viewpoint, and I agree that there as an ancient resentment of women. Shulamith Firestone wrote persuasively about how the biological division of labor between women and men has led to male resentment and subordination of women. However, I cannot agree with the theory that there was a utopian women-centric prehistoric society. It is wishful thinking backed up by sloppy scholarship. Fortunately, we need not invent a mythic past to justify the end of patriarchy and the objectification of women. We instead can push the reality that should be obvious that women are full human beings.
