My wife has that book, and so I know it doesn't say there was a time when there was no patriarchy. I respect your viewpoint, however, I cannot agree with the theory that there was a utopian women-centric prehistoric society. It is wishful thinking backed up by sloppy scholarship. Fortunately, we need not invent a mythic past to justify the end of patriarchy and the objectification of women. We instead can push the reality that should be obvious that women are full human beings.
