Yes, I think that's exactly it. The Right has some people very good at the propaganda game, and if they can use the labels of "wokeness" to tar everyone who opposes oppression as irrational, dangerous fanatics, then oppressions remains undiscussed. That is their goal.

I agree that some extremists have gone way overboard and play right into the hands of the Right. Such people haven't awakened, they are still asleep. Yes, as you say, we have to push the pendulum past the neutral point, but the extemists behaving as badly as the Right are just as bad as those they calim to oppose. We need to make "good trouble" not trouble for its own sake.
