Interesting that you say that because I worry I’m oversimplifying matters in this article by focusing on one aspect of the humanity-wide phenomena of normative discrimination.

I claim that these men who objectify women fool themselves into believing they honor women. Clearly, they do not. Men rationalize their misbehavior.

I agree with you on how individual choice is dismissed and everyone is designated as having assigned roles. That right there is a big part of all forms of discrimination.
