It Was a Year

Yep, another one

The new year began for me on the Winter Solstice — 20 December by the Gregorian calendar. Since them I’ve had a delightful Solstice Fortnight of rest and recuperation. 2024 was a bad year for the world in many ways that I need not recount — I’ll leave that to others. I’m ready to leave behind the gloom of the previous year and boldly enter a new one.

I technically worked two full-time jobs and in 2024 I also finished writing two books, two peer-reviewed journal articles, 23 podcast episodes, and 137 Medium articles. All using Natural Intelligence not AI.

Last month, I resigned from one of my jobs to be able to spend more time researching and writing. One mistake I made in 2024 was not spending more time reading. To be a great writer, one needs to refill the well. I intend to devote myself to better balancing my input and output of content.

Re: Medium

I wrote and published 137 Medium articles on philosophy, politics, and culture. Content is king. I appreciate all of the many great comments and claps I received from readers…
