It's tempting to agree with you on this, but it's more accurate to say that the ills you correctly identify weren't caused by the Internet. The issue is the choices that people make to silo themselves, to chose the simplicity of stupidity over the effort of exploration and thinking. The Internet only pulled up the floorboards to reveal the rot within human nature. It only allows people to more quickly and easily do what they always have done.
