Love and Anger
A brief exchange
Over five months ago, after I uploaded a video on YouTube about Trump and fascism, the algorithm, as it does, suggested another video for me to watch. This video had “Trump” in the title, but it was really about some woman claiming to channel some “ascended master.”
The message of the video was that we should not be angry about Trump. If you feel anger about Trump and his statements, the woman said, then your soul is out of balance and needs correction. The viewer was then encouraged to learn more about this woman and, of course, how the viewer can pay her to hear the teachings she channels. Her channeling of some “ascended master” will heal our sick soul — the one that is wrong to be angry about Trump and his threats against women, immigrants, minorities, foreigners, liberals, and on and on.
I seldom leave comments on other videos, but to this one I responded with the comment, “If Trump makes you angry, it shows your soul is healthy.”
That was over five months ago, and I had forgotten all about it. Then yesterday, I received an e-mail that someone had responded to my comment. Someone named Joseph said:
If you’re angry, your inner being is in disagreement with you
