Not sure how being snide helps, but that's your right. If your question was at all serious, I'll say two things.

One is this article explains why I'm on Medium.

https://dgilesphilosopher.medium.com/why-im-on-medium-4658e303e0e6

Last year I was asked to write a paper for a major philosophy journal that took me over 20 hours to write and for which I was paid nothing.

The second is that what I say there about being seen is also true outside academia. I post on social media and I get no views and no reactions much less any pay. Would I like Medium to stop shadow banning my articles? Of course. Would I like to earn more from my work on Medium? Of course. But I've been on Medium for over six years and the dip in pay January 1st to 10th has happened before, was corrected, and passed. This article has now earned over $32 for a thousand views which is back to typical. My YouTube channel earns $4 per thousand views, which I sometimes get in a week.

In sum, I have a sense of how the Internet works and that gives me a lot of perspective. So, I don't get too bothered by temporary unfairness.
