Protests usually are the reaction to injustices, and injustices are a failure of the system. Dissent and protest are ways to have one’s voice heard, and often the only way people can have a voice to speak against the failures that cause injustice. A system in which people’s voices can directly reach decision makers is the ultimate solution.
