Reddit is a cesspool of trolls, especially on the philosophy subreddit, which is horribly mismanaged. The moderators there play favorites. But generally, yes, it is a tragic truth that only a very small percentage of people who see a notice or advertisement click on it, and a very small percentage of those people act on what they clicked on. Apparently, a conversion rate of 5% is phenomenal. Amazing to me.
But all we can do is keep pushing and hoping that eventually, good things will come from perseverance.
