Serenity and acceptance are virtues, but remember that that thet the serevity prayer adds "the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference." It urges us to make the world a better place by focusing on what is within our ability to do. Reinhold Niebuhr was president of the university where I teach, and his example of social activism and inclusion of others remains at the core of our mission. Acceptance does not extend to accepting injustice.
