Thank you. Your view of world history is pessimistic, but regrettably accurate. People act out of self-interest, which can be either positive or negative. Fear and greed tilt actions toward the negative too easily. Somehow, we need to level the social landscape so that there aren’t large inequalities that can be leveraged into negative acts.
