Thank you, but I cannot agree with the theory that there was a utopian women-centric prehistoric society. It is wishful thinking with no actual evidence behind it. That there were portrayals of women in ancient times does not mean the society was matriarchal anymore than portrayals of animals meant animals ran society. If anything the Neolithic portrayals of women indicate desire for fertility, like portrayals of game animals indicate desire for successful hunts.
Fortunately, we need not invent a mythic past to justify the end of patriarchy and the objectification of women. We instead can speak of the reality that should be obvious that women are full human beings.
