Thank you for that, Joseph, excellent comment. I hadn’t thought of that verse when writing this, but it fits. It is a way we all can take — seeing all of us as in this together rather than dividing off into “Us” vs. “Them.” It’s a matter of priorities and a matter of courage in accepting other people as people despite their differences — respecting and recognizing individuality rather than subjecting them to stereotypes. Ultimately, we are all one people.
