Thank you for your comment, David. I'll try to be more clear about where I am on the UFO question. I consider myself to be a believer in general but a skeptic about particulars. What I mean is that I accept that this is a genuine phenomena, but when looking at particular pieces of evidence, I remain unconvinced that they are genuine. I'm looking for that one thing, that aha moment that seals the deal. I mean it when I say at the end that I will readily accept any real evidence. As for taking a deeper look - well, I haven't read every book on the subject (who could?), but I have probably watched every TV documentary, good and bad, on UFOs. I think one of the most honest and serious is Lue Elizondo's "Unidentified." I think if he could get out of his military intelligence paradigm of seeing UAPs as a threat, he would develop a more holistic view. Anyway, yes, I think UFOs is an ontologically real phenomenon, but I don't think it has proven an ET presence. And I don't think the government has much mroe knowledge on that question.
