Thank you for your comments. I am familiar with the theory you mention, but I can’t entirely agree that egalitarianism between the sexes was ever widespread. I absolutely do not think that patriarchy is inevitable or default, but that it became an ingrained cultural tradition a long time ago. Cultural traditions are difficult to break.
