On Medium: despite this article being nominated for excellence by multiple experts, Medium refused to do so. They instead boost storied about tech and feel-good fluff.

We of course would be wrong to think that all Germans of that era were Nazis. There were people who resisted to the best of their abilities. Others were deceived or coerced into going along. How much blame each person merited for their actions is impossible to say without knowledge of their individual circumstances.
