Thank you for your insightful comments. I agree with all that you say. There are always multiple factors that affect people and generations of people. I’m not suggesting the “PC Generation” as a perfect categorization and, as you say, the sexual revolution, AIDS, Thatcherism/Reaganism, are all major influences. We can also thrown in 1968, Watergate, the rise of terrorism, and other social changes.

With my article, I am hoping to stimulate this type of discussion about how world events shape perspectives and define generations.
