I think the equivalent in philosophy to scientism is analytic philosophy. It is enamored with method, closed to real-world experience, and uninterested in tangible results beyond reaffirming its methodology.

I like what you say about intention. What is the purpose and goal of philosophizing? Unless itbis to improve our lives, it has no purpose. Good point on the Lacan fo.lowers.
