Thanks. I can’t remember who it was but a recent philosopher argued that same point that you making that Plato poisoned philosophy. I am not anti-Plato, I think he did well with what he had to work with, and I think the same about Aristotle. I think I will be starting with Plotinus, who is the real Platonic influence on the medieval period. Then all that is needed on Aristotle can be covered by discussing the Islamic philosophers, then move into William and then Bacon to the rise of natural philosophy as a reaction to Thomist Aristotelianism.
