The europeans on the other hand have developed in a climate where you have to fight the nature, dominate it and find ways around the harsh conditions if you want to survive (I know it firsthand, on my farm I have less than 6 months to produce all the food I need for the whole year). From this way of life emerged the mentality of superiority and dominance over nature which then yielded conquest, domination, expansion, theft, genocide...
