Term is over, conferences are over. Both “yay” and “ugh.”

Eighteen days ago I thought I’d explain why I was about to have my longest fallow period on this site. It was my least read story ever — not even a dozen people. Not sure what that says.

While I was gone, I reached 1,000 Followers on this site, for which I am very grateful. For all who read my articles, thank you for supporting my work and mission to explain philosophy and apply it to real life. Thank you for the many insightful comments. I love deep discussions.

The times, they are a changing

They say there is an ancient curse that goes, “may you live in interesting times.” Curse or not, we are indeed now living in interesting times. The photo above I selected to reflect our current world — entering a pinch point on the path to the future. We face the ongoing threats of a pandemic and a war, both still capable of spiraling out of control.

No matter how “interesting” or not the times are, we gain more from respectfully and open-mindedly discussing our collective problems. I will do my part here and on my other platforms to contribute to and facilitate constructive conversations that build toward solutions, and have some fun doing it.
