What is knowledge? When you understand that it is far more than analytic description by data, it opens the world to you. In my philosophy textbook, I wrote about three ways to have knowledge of a tree. The scientist, the philosopher, and the artist, each approaching the tree with a different method and each gaining knowledge of the tree.
