Yes, and Hinduism, and Jainism, and Daoism, and Islam, and Christianity, and Judaism, and Greek mystery cults, and so on. "Comparative religious studies" must be informed by direct study of the religion's beliefs and practices as it sees itself. Outside views of a religion are inadmissible. Don't mistake disagreement with an idea with ignorance of that idea.
