Yes! Thank you for this. This is the root definition and understanding of the word "faith" going back many centuries. It is a fact I teach in my philosophy courses and the students are shocked to learn this. They've been taught the false definition put forward by those who are anti-religion. I'm not religious, but I do like to teach truth, so I explain how the concept of faith was used in medieval philosophy and theology to mean a trust in authority. Your excellent article is one of the very few times I have seen an accurate discussion of faith.
