Yes, the architects of Nazism thought of their plan as a solution to the problems not just of Germany but of the world. They thought they were doing good. Obviously delusional, but as I wrote in one of my books, https://medium.com/original-philosophy/left-wing-right-wing-people-and-power-eab5b94a69e9, political movements are mostly motivated by the idea of their goals being morally and pragmatically good.
