You make a number of great observations. There is an American-centric bias among these three philosophers, an issue I hope to address in regard to the philosophers of race in Part 2.
Whether it is called "xenophobia" or "fear of the other," there is a larger cause of human prejudice that transcends American white racism against Blacks. I agree with you that there is a difficulty in trying to understand the other person and their viewpoints. That, though, is the path to overcoming so many problems.
